Wow!! An amazing experience all round. For a group of beginners this was a perfect way to improve. Amazing scenery, huge variety of terrain, great guides with lots of helpful advice on riding technique and bike setup. Enduro Paradise

Dougal, Het was een geweldige week in april, ondanks een dag met buien. Mijn collega en ik wisten niet wat ons te wachten stond. Een beetje opscheppen bij andere collega's dat wij dat wel zouden flikken. Ik was blij dat de conditie en de rij ervaring die ik op de weg heb goed is. Maar dat is niet te vergelijken met wat ik Portugal aan hindernissen genomen heb. De eerste dag gelijk voor de leeuwen, buien! dus de terracotta gekleurde klei was glad. Voor ons als weg rijders was het ploeteren om op de berg te komen. Maar we zaten in een groep met drie Ieren, een vader en een zoon en een vriend. Die waren niet te beroerd om ons een duwtje te geven. Zij waren er al voor de tweede keer, en dat was te zien! De vader 53 jaar nam de hindernissen als of ze er niet waren. De zoon Deren, was de kampioen, geen berg te steil of rivier bedding te diep. Later bij het avond eten hoorden we dat Deren al vanaf zijn dertiende jaar op een crossmotor zit. Dat zegt genoeg over het rij niveau waar we in terecht kwamen. Dag twee, een beetje spierpijn, stijf van het vallen en de lat weer wat hoger. Het tempo ging om hoog en de hellingen gingen tot in de hemel. Eenmaal boven was het uitzicht prachtig, vaak ging de motor even uit voor de stilte en de vogel geluiden, Portugal is een prachtig land. Na drie dagen rijden was het een dag rusten, wat was ik blij dat ik een dag in het voorjaarszonnetje kon zitten met wat bier en stuk appeltaart, geen combi maar wel lekker. Donderdag ging heel mooi, een vriend van Dougal ging met ons mee een kenner van het bergen gebied, die wist ons weer te verrassen met een bergpad die bestond uit gravel waar je de motor in de bocht lekker dwars kon zetten. Die dag maar één keer gevallen en kon mooi wegrollen dus geen pijn! De laatste dag deden we een stuk route die we de eerst dag ook gedaan hadden. Een mooi vergelijk, wat een verschil! in een handomdraai was het voorbij. Wat een leer proces met vallen en opstaan en spierpijn, maar wat een mooie week! 's Avonds met de Ieren eten en naar de kroeg was op zich al vakantie, wat een onderbroeken lol. Nog wat adressen uitgewisseld voor foto's en film's gemaakt met de helmcamera. My family and I went to Portugal for spring break. I decided to take a break from the family and ride with Dougal for a day. I cannot say enough good things about the ride. The bikes were impeccably maintained. The food was delicous. The terrain was spectacular - both to ride and view. Most important was the quality of the ride. I joined a group of riders ranging from beginners to advanced riders. Dougal led us through terrain that challenged all of the riders and kept all of us interested. If I go to Portugal again, I will book a week long ride with Dougal.

Wow!! I absolutely loved this; top organisation from the minute you land in Portugal, Dougal has really put maximum effort into making this the experience of a lifetime. Steep hills - steep learning curve but enjoyable throughout, a massive sense of achievement. Can't thank and praise Dougal enough. Would I go back - Damn right!!!

An absolutely amazing riding experience. The variation of terrain is incredible. Great location, lots of fun to had in the evenings. Thankyou Dougal for an amazing tour.

What a great week. Will probably take a week to get over all the aches and pains. I can't really praise Dougal enough. He pitched the level of difficulty exactly right. A few difficult and technical bits followed by some easier stuff to get our confidence back! Thank you for a fantastic week.

Hi Dougal ,A big thank you for an epic tour, even with the spread of riding skills in our group we all had a truly amazing time . To be able to ride all day over such diverse terrain without going on the road, or gates and fences blocking the way was ace. We all pushed our skills to the limit and learnt so much more. We are already planning our return as well as missing the tour the coffee in England has gone down hill while we have been away (Henry agrees ) so see you soon and thank you again. Gary

Just returned from 4 days riding with Dougal and Lukas in mid November. It was a great trip with wonderful riding, good variety and scenery. The weather threatened and it rained overnight but the days were just right which was amazing for this time of year. There were 5 of us and we have been on many trips, guided and self ride and this was as good as any of them. The mixture of terrain and countryside gave us 4 days of mixed riding with lovely lunchtime stops. In the evening we walked into Burgau and found some good restaurants after a beer overlooking the sandy bay. The accommodation suited a bike trip. All in all very good. Keep it going. Simon

From the collection in a Merc executive car to delivery back to the airport everything was very well organised. Good accomodation, well maintained bikes and fantastic riding. We had four days of great riding in one of the best riding areas in Europe. Dougal and his assitance Lucas showed us why Portugal is such a good area for trail riding. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who wants some serious trail riding in suberb surroundings with everything taken care of.

Morning Dougal ,thake a good rest this week because the fucking dutch gays are coming Haha .Dump the cluth you told us last year,so we practised a lot . We hope the wether is getting beter or you have too prepare a snorcel on the bikes before crossing the river !!!! I'm happy we booked again by enduro portugal only huib is still driving on the sushi bike in holland (yamaha wr) Maybe you can put huib soo far to buy the orange bike in holland i think the best there is ???
